IB MYP Mathematics
IB MYP Mathematics promotes both inquiry and application, helping students to develop problem-solving techniques that transcend the discipline and that are useful in various contexts. The framework encompasses number, algebra, geometry and trigonometry, statistics and probability. Students who pursue this course will benefit in developing skills required to attempt all the criteria and objectives that will be tested in the e-assessments

In this module, the students develop the ability to work with numbers and symbols is an essential skill in mathematics. Students also learn the operations of numbers, inequalities, surds and exponents, standard form and number sequences. They gain an in-depth understanding of number operations which is essential to learn other math concepts and also useful to solve questions meeting the criteria. This module focuses on all the criteria in numbers context.
Prior Learning: Students are expected to be well versed with the concepts order of operations, ratio and proportions, percentages and fractions.
