Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625

In this course the students learn using suitable local, international or historical examples and applications, or through collaborative experimental work. They aim to acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding – to become confident citizens in a technological world and to develop an informed interest in scientific matters, develop skills that are relevant to the study and practice of physics which are useful in everyday life, develop attitudes, such as a concern for accuracy and precision, objectivity, integrity, enquiry, initiative and inventiveness, recognise the usefulness (and limitations) of scientific method, and how to apply this to other disciplines and in everyday life, develop an interest in, and care for, our environment, recognise that science is evidence based, understand and adopt efficient and safe practices, practice and acquire the art (skill) of systematic approach in problem solving, master the skill to communicate effectively through the language of science, appreciate that science is a subject to social, economic, technological, ethical and cultural influences and limitations, appreciate that the applications of science may be both beneficial and detrimental to the individual, the community and the environment, and understand the scientific skills essential for both further study and everyday life.
